Overcome Guilt, Resentment and Worry

Life is too short to carry around negative feelings like guilt, resentment, worry, and doubt, don’t you agree?

But do you ever find yourself doing just that? Do you ever carry negative feelings on your shoulders day to day, year to year? Maybe a lifetime? Yeah, me too.

And that’s what Joel Olsteen’s book, Empty Out the Negative, is all about.

It’s AWESOME!

Why? Because if you’re like me and you want to make as much space as possible for all the positive things in your life, you’ll want to find ways to keep those negative feelings out.

I often say to my clients that we need to stand guard at the door to your mind. Watch what you let in. Feed yourself positivity. Fill yourself with joy. Don’t let the negative in, because, as the book says, “It can be easy to go through life holding on to things that are weighing us down: Guilt, resentment, doubt and worry.”

The other I like to discuss with my clients is The Law of Attraction. The secret here — and it’s no secret, now is it? — is that whatever you focus on is what you’re going to bring to your life.

And as much as I have a practice of prayer and gratitude at night, I recognize what’s good in my life is abundant in my life. I’m so thankful for my partner, for my family, for my children, for the life I have, for the animals for my farm, for my clients, for my co workers — for all of it, because there is so much that’s good.

Despite these amazing things in my life, there’s still this little piece that I carry around with me sometimes of anger, of disappointment, of judgment. I want to get rid of it. And when I read this passage from Empty Out the Negative, it just seemed so simple:

“I’m going to protect what I allow in my heart. Every morning, when we wake up, we need to empty out anything negative from the day before. You control what’s in your container. You control what you think about and what you choose to allow in.”

I’m going to choose to empty my container every morning.

In my heart, I’m going to allow love and positive things. I’m not going to carry the negative from day to day, from year to year, not a lifetime of anything. I’m ready to release that. I’m absolutely going to put this into play. And I am sure that there’s going to be a shift or a game you want to play.

Why don’t you try it out, too? If you’re willing to give it a try and empty that container every day, do this with me.

Send me a message about what you’re going to do, and let’s rock this together.

Love, happiness, positivity — and empty negative containers — to you all.

Ho’oponopono practice works so well for me when I remember to cut the cords each night.
The words to say are: “I’m sorry, Please forgive me, Thank you, I love you.”
