Finding Faith Amidst the Flames: A Testimony from a Play

Freedom Church Presents: “Heaven’s Gates and Hell’s Flames”

Over the past week, I embarked on an emotional and spiritually awakening journey. Alongside my companion, Paulie, and our devoted church family at Freedom Church, we immersed ourselves in a profound theatrical production titled “Heaven’s Gates and Hell’s Flames.”

It’s an endeavor that underscores the criticality of our choices and their lasting implications on the state of our souls. If you know me, you know that I am All About Choices, so this struck me on an entirely other level.

During the four nights the play ran, I was moved beyond words. Witnessing the transformative power of the play, I watched as 156 souls found salvation and chose to dedicate their lives to Christ.

The experience prompted a deeper introspection within me, especially considering the tumultuous world we inhabit today.

How do we, as individuals, uphold God’s purpose?

How can we be beacons of hope and agents of good in our homes, communities, and the world at large?

In a time where so much seems beyond our control, I’ve come to one unshakable conclusion: Our faith in God, in His divine plan, and in the promise of eternal salvation, is the cornerstone.

Life on Earth, as significant as it seems now, is fleeting when placed beside the expanse of eternity. It’s imperative, now more than ever, that our lives have Christ as their bedrock. We must ensure our families stand united in faith and service to the Lord, resisting the relentless stress and demands of today’s technologically-driven world. Technology, as marvelous as it can be, must never overshadow our innate human connections and the values that define us.

My heartfelt prayer is for families to rediscover Jesus together, for long-lost family values to be resurrected, and for the timeless guidance of the Ten Commandments to be honored and followed. God’s original “Top 10” list remains unmatched and serves as the divine guidebook for our journey on this Earth.

It took me 18 long years to bridge the gap between what my heart felt and what my life actually reflected. The path to finally submitting to Jesus, finding my church family, and feeling wholly connected to my faith was not an easy one, even requiring a 950-mile journey.

But today, I stand firm in my conviction, assured that God’s plan is at work, and feeling an overwhelming sense of belonging.

To everyone at Freedom Church, I send my heartfelt gratitude. Your unwavering faith and support are truly appreciated, and help me drive my choices into actions of faith. Through the heart-stirring performances, to witnessing 156 souls embrace Christ, my spirit has soared higher than ever.

For those still seeking, remember: it’s never too late to find your faith, to find your family in Christ, and to truly find yourself. Let my story inspire your own journey.

With love and blessings,

Gina Pigott,
